I was born around 2017 and once owned. I think I served my owner well, tried to please them and tried to be a good hunting dog. I have been living on a rough surfaces, probably outdoors, most of my life, with very little love in my life and even less kindness from people. In the spring 2020 I endured my most horrific experience yet. I was used to make puppies and just as my little ones were born and I was ready to take care of them, I was abandoned. They drove me to a town unfamiliar to me and left me to the streets without my pups, my stomach empty, breast full of milk and heart broken. I tried to survive on the streets, feeding from the trash and from cat feeding stations. Me wandering to a cat feeding station was the moment when something changed, a kind lady called the shelter and off I went, to my new temporary home.

I am still a little sceptical of people - I'm not convinced they wont abandon me or hurt me, like people did before. But as more time passes, the more I start to get used to this place and yearn the company of people. Because it will take some time from a new person to gain my trust, I would rather not go to a home with little people. I'm not sure if they understand when I want to be left alone.

But if there is someone willing to put in the work and earn my trust, I know I will try my best to be your best friend. I would love to go for long walks to the forest, where I could sniff all the wonderful smells and as evening comes, settle down next to you, on a soft and comfortable bed.
