The huge protector!

was born in 2015 and came to the shelter in 2016. I was abandoned here by my family and at that moment I really lost all faith in people and just wanted to be left alone. The shelter is too stressful and noisy for me, so getting used to this environment was not easy. I started to get grumpy and really irritated, which is why most people would just walk past my kennel, without a second glance.
In 2019, I went to a foster home just for a week, so they could see my behavior outside the shelter. The moment I was out of the shelter was like I could breath again! I remembered what it felt like to run and jump in the fields, without a care in the world. I remembered immediately how to behave at home, not to jump on the furniture, not to steal food, sleep in my own bed, not destroy stuff, not to bark when I'm alone - you know, the basics!
Even though the person fostering me was someone I didn't care about in the shelter, I decided she was part of my family from the moment she took me out. I listened to her every word, I would learn new tricks when she was offering me treats in exchange and I would retrieve those toys and sticks, that she so carelessly would throw all around the garden!
I got the perfect score on my behavior there and now the shelter believes I can actually make a good and loyal companion for a family, that understands that I need long walks and activities to be happy <3
I have been at the shelter long enough and I really hope this year I can meet my forever family and be loved!
