This unique looking dog is named after Chewbacca from Star Wars. He seems to be an Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. Chewbacca came to the shelter in the spring of 2023. He is a very affectionate dog who thinks he's still a puppy, but in fact he weighs 30 kg.

Chewbacca loves to sit on your lap or to stand up to you on his back feet - which makes him more than 2 metres tall😉 He is an energetic young dog who would fit well in an active family who would go on long walks with him. Chewbacca walks perfectly on the leash.
He gets along well with other dogs as long as they are polite and calm. Otherwise he can get a bit too excited, which can give the wrong impression to the other dog. Chewbacca is healthy and ready to find a family.
