I am the oldest dog at the shelter. When I was found I had testicular cancer and I was operated on quickly. Fortunately I don’t have cancer anymore, but I do have a benign tumor under my belly. This tumor will not be operated on because the stress of the anesthesia on my body might just be too much. I am an old dog so I have some old dog problems. My right eye is blurry and I can't see with it very well. Also my left eye has now started to get blurry. I also have some trouble hearing. But otherwise I am doing just fine.
I am a very relaxed old gentleman and get along with other dogs and cats well. I am a bit picky with my food and prefer to eat soft foods that are easy to chew and digest.
I might not have that much time left, and I fear that I will never be able to know the warmth of a home, or the loving of my own family. I might not be as cute as a puppy or as healthy as a young dog, but I still have a will to live. I hope I can share my love of life with someone special until the end of my days. Would you be the one?
