Our beloved Miss Sophie has had quite a troubled life so far. When she came to the shelter in 2022 she was in a very bad shape. She had been on the streets for some time and because of Leishmania her condition was terrible. The vet also discovered an old injury in one of her back legs. Sophie can go on a walk, but her leg is a bit stiff.
Once they started her treatment, Miss Sophie began to heal. After a few months she looked completely different.
In December 2023 something was wrong with her and we rushed her to the vet. She appeared to have fluid around her heart, which was a shock. But she has overcome this second attack on her health as well. She regained her strength, is back on weight and she's active again.

We don't know when Miss Sophie was born, but she is a middle aged dog. She has a very gentle and sweet character. And look at all those wonderful looks she has.

To make sure she's comfortable, Miss Sophie lives in foster care until someone shows up to give her the kind of life she deserves.
