When I first came to the shelter a few months ago, I was just skin and bones. The tough life on the streets had really taken a toll on me. But I have had an incredible transformation into a healthy, young dog. Although I am now getting regular meals, I am very protective of my food. You see, all the fighting I had to do over the past years left me guarded, and I feel like I still have to fight for my survival.
So ideally my future home is experienced with issues like this. I am still gaining confidence and growing to be more comfortable with humans every day. It would be really important for me to get out of the shelter, because all of the noises and all the hussle gets me stressed. I might do a lot better in a home environment with people who can show me how it is to be loved and cared for. I just need the right kind of family to guide me through these difficult times and help me become the confident boy I surely can be.
